Join Cycle Toronto and meet other advocates and work together on the cycling issues that are affecting our city today. We are currently canvassing around the following issues:
Defend Bloor: with the appeal lost, now more than ever, we need people to show support for our local cycling infrastructure
The Municipal Election: getting people informed and educated on councillor candidates and where they stand on cycling
Sign up for canvassing shifts here to bring awareness to different cycling issues in our city.
Tabling
We always need help with outreach tabling at our different engagement stations! Opportunities include doing outreach at Bike Month & Get Lit stations, assisting with special events, and supporting member recognition.
What you'll do
Field public questions on who Cycle Toronto is and what we do
Engage with people across the city and hand out goodies to cyclists at our Bike Month and Get Lit! outreach stations.
Cycle Toronto sends out emails approximately 1 to 2 times a month when we need residents to show their support for cycling projects. This can involve contacting your councillor and/ or the mayor, typically by email. It's important to show City Hall that there is widespread support for cycling in the city, whether you're sharing your support of improving access to a bicycle for low-income residents or supporting a new bike lane, your voice helps.
If you haven't heard, Cycle Toronto has a Rec Hub at Evergreen Brick Works! We always need volunteers to help us do the following:
Support our Bike Hub Assistant Manager with bike mechanic education
General outreach on Cycle Toronto events and campaigns
Note: There are no more formal trainings for the rest of the 2026 season, so if you are interested in volunteering at the Rec Hub please email Caitlin directly at [email protected]
