In the Council-approved 2022-2024 Cycling Network Plan, Trethewey Drive in Ward 5 York South-Weston was identified as a key route for new cycling infrastructure. Unfortunately, as the project has been carried forward to the 2025-2027 Cycling Network Plan, it’s an unfortunate concession that it’s likely not to be built by the end of this year.
We are pleased, however, that a public consultation has been announced and will be taking place on June 12th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at The Learning Enrichment Foundation 116 Industry Street. At the drop-in, community members can review details on the potential plans, and speak to staff and ask questions to ensure this project is installed in early 2025.
