Lunch and Learn: Interactive Deputation Training

Join us for this interactive workshop and learn everything you need to know about what a deputation is, how to do it effectively and confidently, as well as the process of registering to depute on items that you care about.

While this workshop will focus on how to engage with the Infrastructure and Environment Committee (IEC), the process applies for all City Council committees. 

Agenda for this is a virtual workshop:

1. Introduction
2. What is a deputation and why it matters
3. Telling your story
4. The logistics of deputing at City Council Committees
5. Preparing for IEC on May 28 (the agenda will likely include the 2025-2027 Cycling Network Plan)

Please note that this workshop is designed to be one hour, but for those that want to practice speaking in front of a friendly crowd, there is an additional 30 minutes. The choice is yours.
