Advocating for Positive Change by Crafting Compelling Deputations!

Join us for this interactive workshop and learn everything you need to know about what a deputation is, how to do it effectively and confidently, as well as the process of registering to depute on items that you care about.

While this workshop will focus on how to engage with the Infrastructure and Environment Committee (IEC), the process applies for all City Council committees. 

Agenda for this is a virtual workshop:

1. Introduction
2. What is a deputation and why it matters
3. Telling your story
4. The logistics of deputing at City Council Committees
5. Preparing for IEC on March 27th (the agenda will likely include cycling projects that are integral to implementing the 2022-2024 Cycling Network Plan, including the EglintonTOday Complete Street Project)

Please note that there will be practice time built into the session and folks who would like to practice deputating in front of a friendly crowd will get the opportunity.
