2024 Annual General Meeting
Cycle Toronto's 2024 Annual General Meeting is Wednesday, May 8th at TRANZAC (just south of Bloor on Brunswick between Spadina and Bathurst subway stations).
This is a members-only event featuring a year-in-review presentation, election of the Board of Directors, and approval of the financials. It’s also a great opportunity to meet your fellow members, and chat with staff and board.

- AGM starts at 7:00 pm
Board Candidates and the Director Slate
The Board of Directors serves a crucial role in the work that Cycle Toronto does. Every year as directors turn over, we are left with gaps in skills and experience that must be filled. The existing board is in a unique position to assess what skills and experience are required for this work, what gaps exist, and which nominees might best fill those gaps.
This year, we have four open spots on our board.
As in years past, we did a broad public call for nominees and had nine people apply, plus one returning director. The nominations committee interviewed all nine new candidates, and are recommending to our membership a slate of four nominees for election. Putting forward a slate of candidates is a process taken by many established charities and non-profits, and one that we believe continues to strike a balance between democratic openness and building an effective board.
The remaining candidates who met the nomination criteria were free to run at the AGM, but none chose to go forward at this time.
We are excited to announce that the slate for this year is:
- Arman Hamidian (new)
- Andrea I. (seeking reelection)
- Péter Sós (new)
- Caralyn Quan (new)
