Riding and Recovery Workshops

Riding a bike is a safe, efficient way to get around while maintaining physical distance, and a great way to stay active for physical and mental health. It’s with this in mind that Cycle Toronto is collaborating with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s (CAMH) Recovery College to deliver a series of free workshops.

These interactive workshops are co-facilitated by our cycling educators as well as people with lived experiences with mental health and addiction services.

Each Wednesday for four weeks a different workshop will be offered to help increase confidence with riding a bike in the city. The workshops will be:

  • October 14: Cycling & Your Health
  • October 21: Safe Cycling 101
  • October 28: Basic Maintenance
  • November 4: Biking in All Weather Conditions

The workshops will be live and online, and there will also be a phone-in option available.

Date: Every Wednesday from October 14 to November 4
When: 11AM-12PM
Where: Online

Group Ride

An in-person group ride for workshop attendees will be held on October 22. The ride is weather dependendant and subject to subject to Toronto Public Health guidelines. Complimentary bikes can be provided for the event.
