If you’ve had a chance to ride your bike in any of the new bike lanes installed last summer through ActiveTO, it’s easy to see just how much more comfortable these streets are to ride your bike on. Now, a new research paper backs this up.

Supporting YongeTOmorrow

The YongeTOmorrow project will be voted on by Toronto City Council later today and we expect it to pass. At time of posting, 15 Councillors have pledged their support for a redesign of Yonge Street downtown that puts people before cars.

REimagining Yonge Passed at City Council

City Council, including the Mayor, voted 18-5 in favour of moving forward with the REimagining Yonge project. This will see Yonge Street in North York transformed when it is rebuilt as a “complete street.”
