Bicycling in the city has become way too dangerous. I'm riding to help make Toronto a safer place to cycle.
I've been riding my bike in this city for over 40 years and it gets more dangerous all the time. We've all read about cyclist deaths. We've all seen the ghost bikes. We've all been doored, or cut off by cars and trucks. And now that my 5 year old daughter is learning to ride, I'm more eager than ever to see improvements to road safety. This is why I'm participating in Cycle Toronto's Ride for Safe Streets on September 21.
Cycle Toronto advocates for better infrastructure, more protective policies, with more automated enforcement as soon as possible. Please support my ride for safe streets and help Cycle Toronto continue to push for desperately-needed road safety. The City has promised to build bike lanes on Bloor Street, Danforth Avenue, and Eglinton Avenue. It can't happen soon enough.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
